10 reasons why you need Canva in your life!
Have you ever looked at graphics on someone else Instragram, Facebook, Website (you get the picture) and thought
a) those graphics are amazing – I want something like that? b) God those graphics look awful – they need some help.

Now don’t lie I know you have

If so let me introduce you to Canva. In case you have had your head buried in the sand for the last year Canva is an online graphic design platform. It offers free access to a wide assortment of design tools and options, as well as premium options for paying customers. [Tweet “”Frankly for any frustrated designer who love ‘s great design @canva is possibly the greatest invention ever! “”] So with that in mind here are 10 reasons why you need it in your life…..

You are short on time and cash:

There are hundreds of templates and I mean literally hundreds of templates are already there for you to create biz cards, booklets, invites, CV, presentations. All you have to do is select the template and then add your images and your text.  Rubbish looking business cards are a thing of the past. Be warned I am judging!

You are lacking inspiration:

If you are stuck about where to start then The Canva design school blog has some fabulous hints and tips from design basics to colours and fonts to use. I challenge you to not be inspired.

Your brand needs an overhaul:

Next step is to develop your brand board for brand consistency: It is easy to work though and find font combinations and colours that work for your brand. Once you have found this then be consistent and use them all the time.

You cant decide what size you need!

Custom resize is a fantastic resource and will save you hours. You have created your Facebook post image and now you want to also share the same image to Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest. Head to File > resize and select the dimensions you want.

You need to look like you know what you are doing!:

Thousands of images are available from within Canva (some free some paid) so whatever you are looking for is right there. You can pay for single or multi use of an image ( and use it over and over again) or upload your own images to personalise your design even further.

You need a high quality print ready file:

If needed your design can be print ready. download a high res PDF with crop marks and you are good to go!

You need to provide your logo to someone else!

Download an image with a transparent background. A recent introduction,  it means you can create a design to emphasis on an element, a cut out or to make an image stand out. Note this is a paid for feature but worth it for sure.

If you are the caring and sharing kind!

Share designs and templates with other users. If you want to create a template or design with others for commenting, editing or for downloading then that is possible. Great if you need to collaborate n the design with anyone else not in your office.

If you are bored on the bus (who gets the bus these days?)

A Mobile app was recently introduced making it even more easy to create your images on the go.

If you looking for things to do instead of everything else you should be doing.

Beware you can while away hours using Canva We hope you found this useful. Canva as a tool has been so great for me and I hope it is for you too. Caroline xxx
